The phones of today, albeit more advanced and sleek, can’t hold a candle to the phones from 18 years ago – particularly, the most iconic Nokia 3310 – in terms of taking a good beating. It seems as if modern phones are engineered to have the same flaws, including very fragile screens. While some may say this is a small price to pay for innovation, the people who own the latest iPhone X beg to differ.
In the past, phones were such hardy creatures. You could throw them around and they’ll still come out in great working condition. Now, you get all-glass, bezel-free smartphones that crack if the wind blew on them the wrong way. Maybe things will change in the future and we can finally have well-designed electronic devices that can withstand 10-foot drops. For now, our best option is to keep our smartphones in reliable protective cases.[fbcomments url="http://peadig.com/wordpress-plugins/facebook-comments/" width="375" count="off" num="3" countmsg="wonderful comments!"]
